The first book, Witness on the Quay, introduces the widowed food columnist from South Carolina, whose Parisian sojourn to write a cookbook takes an unexpected turn when a cab driver is murdered in front of her apartment on the Ile Saint-Louis.

In the sequel, Witness at the Bridge, a man is found brutally murdered at the foot of the Pont Louis-Philippe, and Amy and Jean-Michel are once again confronted by a number of difficult puzzles. In Witness in the Square, the third book, danger awaits Amy and Jean-Michel once again when the murder of an unidentified woman in the Square Barye leads to the discovery of an international terrorist plot - and their romantic relationship is certain to change because of it. In the fourth novel, Witness by the Church, Amy and Jean-Michel are basking in his retirement from the Sûreté and settling nicely into their new commitment: living together on the vibrant Ile Saint-Louis. But things get a little less idyllic when Amy becomes the possible target of unknown assassins.
